PROFILOPLASTY
When we look through our face from the profile, we think that our nose is very large, evident or aquiline. However, in some cases our nose can be seen relatively evident because the chin area is a bit behind. In this case, where has to be intervened is not our nose but our chin tip. Profiloplasty is the name given for the aesthetical surgeries intervening to that chin tip.
It is possible to extend the chin tip and eliminate the disproportion with the implants placed there in those whose chin tip is behind or small. This procedure can be performed with a well-hidden straight line below the chin or without causing an external mark through a small incision inside the mouth. Operation can be carried out under local or general anesthesia.
This operation is generally performed in the same session with rhinoplasty in many patients in order to balance the facial proportion.
